What do retirees and Baby Boomers Want Most in an Internet Home Business?
They want to GTP, of course!

GPT stands for Get Paid Today. It is a not so new phrase that’s opening a lot of Internet marketers eyes, especially Baby Boomer Internet Entrepreneurs who are facing a potential retirement crisis and are looking to make up lost earning or time in their retirement goals. It’s about getting the big bucks, the top money today! Did I say TODAY loud enough?

The prevailing experience among many Baby Boomer Internet marketers is that traditional MLM can require excruciating weeks, months even years of recruiting of an army of potentially fickle tire kickers and cry babies that jump from one program to the “next best thing”(NTB). Also, MLM commissions at first, or until said amazing army has been recruited, trained and out there producing, can be midget at best, and usually only come once a month. The sad truth is the agonizing path to prosperity with MLM just takes a lot longer, while some of the top tier programs are routinely creating millionaires within a few short years. Need I say more.

So what is GPT and why is it so crucial to Boomer success in an Internet Home Business?
In a nut shell, a GPT program is a top tier program with the mega biggie commissions. A good GPT program pays nice fat commission from anywhere from $1k up to $10+! AND they pay within a few days, not a monthly check or longer with some MLMs out there. Now, if that doesn’t get your attention then nothing will!

The flip side is the top tier big ticket entry cost. For most GPT programs, the entry cost can start from $3k up to over $19k!

Is it worth it? There are many happy people in the GPTs who abandoned their MLM and will never look back. So, it looks good for GPT programs and bad for MLM these days. Most GPT programs have appeal to the Baby Boomer generation because the commissions are very, very (two very’s) high. We have people making five figures a month on a regular basis and are putting away a ton of cash for retirement and whatever else they want!

The better GPT program will likely have the following features:

1. A “funded proposal”. Basically, a funded proposal will be a small ticket item such as an application with some real value added items. You will likely pay a small fee for the application.
   Wait a minute! Pay For an Application? The reason for a paid application is to weed out the tire kickers, the freebie seekers, the program jumpers and the non-serious marketers. Trust me, it’s worth it. If you are serious about building a real business online, then you shouldn’t balk at a $40 application free.
   You are, after all, on your way to five figures a month, right? Your goal should be to become the next millionaire! The application will likely give you access to the back office where you can review all the features and benefits of the “System” and sort of try it on for size. Take it out for a test drive, if you will. You will also be introduced to an in depth introduction to the main product line. The Big Dollar Deal. The Cash Cow.
2. Next a smaller ticket item, usually an excellent info product that may several hundred dollars, that can help you in some fantastic way build your business.
   Usually, it will be sent overnight to you. It will likely contain really slick package design, DVDs and a whole lot more. Many recipients have reported peeing in their pants upon opening the big shiny Info Box. But, it should get better… read on!
3. Then, you get to enter into the vaulted arena of the real GPT Heavy Hitters, like
   Carbon Copy Pro, you will be presented with various tiers at which to join the Big Ticket Deal. This will likely be an ongoing service offering over the top value and information not available anywhere else on the planet. It will have been established by ultra wealthy entrepreneurs who want to share their closely guarded financial secrets with a select few. This would be YOU! Look at it closely. You will be paying thousands of dollars for you entry fee. Ask yourself: Do I believe in this? Can I use it? Can I sell it? If you can’t say “yes” to these questions, then you may be in the wrong place.

Other not so obvious aspects of your Ideal GPT Program should be

3.  Can You Do This? Internet Marketing education should be the primary goal of this GPT program. It should be able to take even  the greenest twig of a newbie through the steps to achieving Internet marketing mastery within 30-90 days. After your application and you have access to the back office, you will know if this is the real deal or not. The back office should be rich with webinars, articles, tutorials on every single aspect of building your business. Lastly…

4.  Ongoing community support and training and encouragement thru forums, chat lines, and even direct call centers available. Whereas sponsorship is always important, the best GPT will have a back office support in place so good, and so efficient, that if your sponsor where to fall off the face of the Earth, you can still keep going and build your business.

So who are the best GPT sites and are these companies really legit?  I personally am involved with and am a prospering member of Carbon Copy Pro.

The legitimate sites won’t tell you that you will get rich quick. They won’t say “we will build a downline” for you, just “reserve your spot.” They also won’t tell you that you won’t have to invest any money to succeed. And here are the big ones. They won’t have you “make a list of friends and family”, hassle them to “show the plan”, and continue with this never ending cycle.
The better program will never pressure you or bombard you with “other stuff” like affiliate links, or low ticket crap just to make a few extra bucks.

They will send out email invitations to webinars, training calls, and introduce new and improved methods of how to market yourself and your business.

The Top Tier programs will generally encourage you towards self branding and video marketing as well as paid advertising.

Here’s the deal. The only way you will ever succeed in network marketing is to become a master marketer. Marketing is the key. The top GPT sites should teach you each step how to become a master marketer, and how to truly succeed in the network marketing industry.

You need to be prepared for a learning curve based on your own experience. For me, the learning curve was steep, but it’s been worth it!

To become a master marketer you will need to invest money to succeed. If you need to invest money, you need to be making money. The reason why most people quit MLM is because the run out of money fast, and become frustrated thinking it doesn’t work.

The bottom line is if you want to join a GPT program I say “go for it”!  Make sure you take the time to review all the information and ask lots of questions. And make sure you have available funds to promote your business. Nothing sadder than running out of money before the miracle happens!

In closing, a top tier GPT program by far outweighs the risk of any brick and mortar business, any franchise opportunity, any MLM given the time and cost of traditional MLMs. A GPT program is in NO WAY a get rich quick. Your success will be dependent entirely on your efforts, your passion and drive to succeed.

Are Boomers Losers?!  That’s a shocking question isn’t it?

But many Boomers today are now scouring the Internet for the best Internet Work From Home Opportunity.
Boomer retirement funds have evaporated and retirement seems only like a vague idea.

Well, for the most part, most of us Boomers have done very well up ‘til now.
However, in the last year, Boomers have seen their investments shrivel up like prunes on a desert.
Many of us have been laid off, down sized, out sourced or simply fired. Many have wound up upside down in their mortgages while all their neighbors were getting foreclosed on!

Many who own their own brick and mortar businesses have seen sales plummet and are facing closing their doors for good. Many Boomers are stuck with a franchise that still demands dues, fees and loan repayment.

I have been an entrepreneur for most of my life, so finding a JOB (Just Over Broke) is really not an option, and the possibility of finding something that would come close to my prior earning is not likely At my age, I have become psychologically unemployable!

For me, my way out has been to start over. I found a solid work from home business opportunity.
It is not get rich quick. It is not easy. But I made a decision to invest in myself and to learn and gain mastery over Internet Marketing. You won’t find anything like this in community colleges or universities.

What Boomers Need to look for in a legitimate work from home opportunity:

1. Find a good “system” you can plug into and follow. BEWARE: there are hundreds of so called “systems” out there, so pay close attention to the ones that make empty promises.
2. As a Boomer, you need to look at opportunities that pay TOP direct sales commissions vs dinky mousey MLM checks. Remember, you don’t have time to recruit and army of MLM cry babies, lazy program jumpers, and fickle tire kickers who just want freebies.
3. Find an opportunity that offers both residual income and multiple streams of income
4. Lastly, BUDGET! You need to have enough set aside to join the program at preferably a higher level, but also have enough set aside for marketing. This includes paid marketing and the many Web 2.0 free methods.
5. Your program should offer a deep Marketing Library for accomplishing your earning goals.

Right now, I am on track to make more in a month than I did in some years past!
